TOEFL
TOEFL (Test of English As a Foreign Language) is a precious test highlighting the student’s proficiency in English living in a Non English speaking country. Structure of the TOEFL
The TOEFL test evaluates students’ proficiency in four key skills such as Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking. The entire test duration is approximately 4 to 4.5 hours with a 10 minute break included. Here’s a closer look at the different TOEFL test modules:
Reading: This section consists of 36 to 56 questions where students read 3 to 4 passages and then answer questions based on their comprehension.
Listening: Comprising 34 to 51 questions, this part involves listening to lectures and discussions. Students must pay close attention to accurately respond to the questions.
Writing: In this section, students write an essay on a given topic typically related to the readings and listening materials.
Speaking: Students are required to give a speech on a designated topic.

Scoring Pattern
Each TOEFL test module comprises of maximum 30 marks; it will be a total of 120 marks test. Hence, students are required to score between 0 to 120 marks. The score you obtain in the TOEFL test is valid for up to two years.
The average score for admission in the undergraduate and postgraduate courses are as follows-
- For the admission in Undergraduate courses: the score varies from 68 to 80.
- For the admission in Postgraduate courses: the score varies from 79 to 95.
